How to crochet the cluster stitch Granny Square

The cluster granny square in stylecraft special dk wisteria.

This granny square introduces the first special stitch in my collection of 4×4 Granny Squares, the cluster stitch. If you are new to crochet check out the Traditional Granny Square pattern first. The cluster stitch can be used to add decorative features to your crochet work such as leaves and petals.

How to make a crochet cluster stitch?

Cluster stitches are made by crocheting stitches together. Common clusters will be made with either one, two, three or four stitches together. Your pattern will indicate how many stitches you be using. In this pattern we will be using 3 stitches crocheted together.
