Granny Square Six is a nice crochet square to use as part of a children’s blanket or scrap yarn project. The stitches on round 2 look like wheel spokes to me. Materials

Yarn – I’m using scheepjes stone washed.

3.5 hook, use the hook suggested on your yarn info.

Written Pattern (US Terms)

Key

Dmc = double magic circle

Ch = chain

Ss = slip stitch

Ch sp = chain space

Sc = single crochet

Hdc = half double crochet

Dc = double crochet

Tr = treble crochet

Rnd = round

Sk = skip

Rnd 1: start with a dmc. 12dc, pull dmc tight, Ss to first stitch. (12 stitches)

Rnd 2: *dc, ch2* repeat * 11 more times. Ss to first stitch to join, Ss to ch2 space. (12 stitches, 12 chain spaces)

Rnd 3: work 3dc, ch1 into each ch2 space. Ss to first stitch to join. (36 stitches, 12 chain spaces)

Rnd 4: work into the chain spaces, *(sc, 2hdc) (2dc, tr, ch1, tr, 2dc) (2hdc, sc)* repeat * 3 more times. Ss to first stitch to join. Cut and tie yarn. (48 stitches)
