The Bunting Triangles

Primrose Wildflower Bunting Triangles

You need to complete Wildflower Bunting Part 1 before starting Part 2.

Part 2 of the pattern is the same for every motif. All rounds are worked with the right side facing you. Do not turn your work between rounds. Please refer to the introduction for the stitch key, crochet chart key and stitch information.

Materials

• yarn in pistachio, meadow and cypress.

• 4mm & 4.5mm hooks

• Scissors

The Pattern

Use the 4mm until round 5

US Terms

Rnd 1: [pistachio] slip knot and attach with Ss to ch1 sp from the last round of your flower. 3sc repeat * into each ch1 sp. (refer to photo 1) Ss to first sc. (36 stitches)

Rnd 2: [pistachio] starting in the first of a 3 sc group, you should be above a special stitch. (Refer to photo 2) ch3, sk2, Ss. Ch4, sk2, Ss. Ch5, sk2, Ss. Ch4, sk2, Ss. repeat * 2 mores times. You should be back at the beginning of the round. Ss to ch3 sp, ch1. (12 chains).

Your work will now have a hint of the triangle it will become. See photo 4.

Rnd 3: [pistachio] Ss to ch3 sp from rnd 2. 3sc in the ch3 sp. 3dc in the ch4 sp. 4tr, ch3, 4tr in the ch5 sp. 3dc in the ch4 sp. (See photos 5-10) Repeat 2 more times. Ss to first sc. cut and tie yarn. (51 stitches)

Rnd 4: [meadow] slip knot and attach with Ss to any stitch. (See photo 12) Sc across all stitches. At the ch3 corner space from rnd 3, 2sc, ch2, 2sc. repeat * till you reach your first sc of Rnd 4. Ss to first sc. cut and tie yarn. (63 stitches)

Rnd 5: [cypress] 4.5mm hook. Slip knot and Ss to the centre stitch (see photo 17) * [ch3, sk2, ss] 3 times, ch3. Into cnr sp – (sc, ch4, sc) Ch2, sk1, ss, [ch3, sk2, ss] 3 times.* Repeat * 2 more times, cut and tie yarn (27 chains) block work.


UK Terms

Rnd 4: [meadow] slip knot and attach with Ss to any stitch. (See photo 12) Dc across all stitches. At the ch3 corner space from rnd 3, 2dc, ch2, 2dc. repeat * till you reach your first dc of Rnd 4. Ss to first dc. cut and tie yarn. (63 stitches)

Rnd 5: [cypress] 4.5mm hook. Slip knot and Ss to the centre stitch (see photo 17) * [ch3, sk2, ss] 3 times, ch3. Into cnr sp – (dc, ch4, dc) Ch2, sk1, ss, [ch3, sk2, ss] 3 times.* Repeat * 2 more times, cut and tie yarn (27 chains) block work.
